Card Overload

In a search for as many deals as possible I have created thousands of store reward accounts (all that include getting a card), coupon emails and much more.  At first the idea of finding a deal in my everyday life no matter what I was doing or where I was seemed like a great idea.  Well now I am in overload.  I don't want to carry around all these cards with me and I cannot remember them all. Then to take each number and put it on my phone is another headache.  I don't want all that info on my phone.  Even the phone number is a problem because as I have moved I did not take the time to update my profile information.

What should I do?

Once again my search for solutions in life lead me to a great app and website that can really make a difference with this problem.

One solution is Key Ring Thing (keyringthing.com). With this website you can take 6 reward cards or membership cards that you use often then have all the barcode information placed on one card that you can carry.  Awesome idea! That alone would save me time and keep me from looking insane in the store when I want a deal but don't have my card.

Another idea is the app Key Ring (keyringapp.com) that is available for iphone/android. Just take your card and scan the barcode. After that you will have a list of all your cards in one area of your phone. I don't know anyone that goes out without their phone so you will always have access to your accounts. ( I did not notice a limit but if you see one let me know)

These two solutions are about to change my life plus keep me savvy.

Thanks for reading.

Just The Two of Us

For a very long time it was just me. Being a only child I enjoyed my own company. My imagination ran wild and I could do or be anyone I wanted.

Then through friendships I was no longer an only. I had the opportunity to share my world was pretty cool. I have gained an extended family through my friends.

Now I have the pleasure to be with my BFF on this journey called life. We are at the hip. Sometimes that can be a pain but we wouldnt have it any other way. He is my homie.

Tomorrow our son will join the clan which will once again make a adjustment in our loves and take me farther away from lonely. We are both nervous, excited and more. Life will never be the same but the adventure is well worth it.

Tonight its just the two of us but tomorrow a whole new world will begin.

Frugal

It is so many great deals that come out each day. It can be hard to determine what you gotta have and what to hold off on.

Today I listed what I needed that I found deals on instead of going to the store and going wild on everything.  It is easy to forget the way you can quickly check for deals but I have made sure I dont lewve the store without checking on a discount.

I downloaded retailmenot and geoqpons. Pretty much every store I visit often always have some deal that I can benefit from. If I can keep this up I wont have to stress when I leave a coupon at home. Good deal!

Super Soap

Dove is my all time fav soap because not only is it something I have used all my life it really makes me feel awesome.

Well I have tried many different soaps in the past 2 years.  I have a PJ issue that has had me just trying out mostly all natural items. The issue with some all natural soaps is that they strip everything from your body. Well I have heard some good things about Dr Bronner's and I did get a chance to use the Lavender one. Lavender is so soothing. I of course was watching YouTube looked at the benefits plus reviews for the peppermint one. This stuff is no joke. It has a tingling sensation that no other soap I have tried gives you.  This just might be a new staple along with the dove.

This product can be purchased at Target and many other stores that sale natural beauty products. If you want to try it out I suggest go to Target and get a sample of it.

You will love it!

Dinner Fun

For awhile it has been 2 of us but as the family grows it is important for me to find new meal ideas so that neither me or my husband are cooking everyday.  Cooking daily can just be too draining. So tonight I made a twist on something he likes to cook for dinner. He makes smothered chicken/pork w cream of mushroom soup. It always taste so great. Well with the crazy schedule he has and waiting for DJ to come I thought I would cook his dish for him.

So to YouTube I went.  Yes I go to YouTube before food Network, recipe.com or anything like that. So my twist to the recipe was rice.  I love rice but I don't make it often. With this one pot dish I couldn't resist adding rice to help make a complete meal that will last at least 2 days.  I have nothing against leftovers.  Here it is.  It looks and taste just like I wanted.  Yum!

Day one check. #changeitupseptember

September is Change It Up Month

I am on YouTube a lot.  I seem to enjoy the natural hair blogs, month favorites and videos that give me new insights on recipes to make for my family.  Then at times I watch videos on challenges or ideas to improve your life.

Knowing that my life is about to change forever soon I was thinking that I would make a stand for the things I want to incorporate in my life to make things even more fun.  For example, my son is coming so I want to create the list of things that we as parents want to demonstrate for him so that he is exposed to diversity in the world.  I kinda started the list but I like just coming up with projects to do. I guess that is my creativity.

I came across this YouTube video today https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ls0PY_EXKeA that talks about the Theme #changeitupseptember. I think this is so cool because sometimes we make a decision to create change and then we also have changes forced on us.

So as my life is evolving change is coming everyday in my adventures and this theme is going to rock.
