A moment in time

One of my favorite songs is "Do You Know" sung by Diana Ross.

I am still trying to find out where I want to be in the world.

Do you know?

Evaluate and Correct

People are so use to living outside of their means that now that they are forced to see the results of their actions it is scary. Everyone is walking around talking about what they don't have and what they cannot buy instead of being happy with all the (things) they accumulated. People are more concerned with stuff than the things that are suppose to matter most like:
Health
Family
Freedom
Friendship
etc.

What is really going on?

In the mist of getting decent jobs and being able to do more than previous generations people are really losing their minds.

It hurts to see people more concerned about a $500.00 bag than finding out why they have a pain in their chest. That bag won’t save you. Better yet being so worried about what other people think people have a debt of 500, 000.00 when they only make 60,000.00 a year. Come on!

Now is the time for everyone to learn the lesson. Check wallets and priorities so that instead of feeling the sting of the changes happening around the U.S. people are giving valuable advice and thriving still.

Add to the Obama Collection

If you are like me and my family we have been collecting magazines and newspapers about Obama being President Elect. Yesterday in Barnes & Noble I found a magazine that was created of pictures, snippets from speeches and much more from Obama. It is in the magazine (news stand) section for $7.99. If you would like to see what this looks like let me know.

I just thought I would share just in case someone else was collecting documents to preserve for the generations to come.

Closing out 26

Leaving my 26 is unlike leaving any other year. I am sitting here recapping the good, bad, and amazing parts of my life. I have done so much and grown in ways that I didn't think I could. It is still amazing to me that a year has passed and I am still standing.

Lessons learned in 26:
You have to be a grown up because no one will take care of my business.Sometimes we have to let people go in order for them to see how much a value you are.
It is important to have order so that you can continue to move forward.
When you sit still you can learn even more than when you speak.
People care about their passions more than yours.
Do unto others as you would have things done to or for you is a foolish statement.
When you allow those around you to change who you are, you loose not them.
Finding your destiny is truly a blessing.
Doing things for yourself is one of the biggest rewards you can do for yourself.
You cannot allow other people emotions or feelings effect how you live.
You can conquer the world for yourself better than you can for others.

After much observation i know what I want to take into 27. I may loose more so called friends but I deserve happiness no matter what has to happen for me to achieve it. For 26 years I have cared for others and been used/abused so since my spirit is tired change has come.

I want to do more such as:
Finish, have edited and publish my mini story Jitters.
Write and maybe complete my book Striving for Something More.
Put quality time into my business consulting firm.
Work on either a certification or degree (maybe both).
Act like I know and change my eating habits so I can continue to take over the world.
Stay as organized as I canBe the me in my dreams.
Really pursue my writing career because it is my blessing and I love it.
Pick 3 social groups to be active inPlan my calendar to include what I need to do instead of just supporting others.
Make all my partnerships work and continue to be tracked.
Either be with or without my destiny,
Grow my spirit and cherish what I am.
Spend time with family and friends.
Travel to new exciting places (I have my passport).

Live my life!

See u in 27!

Wednesday Wisdom - Experience Election 08

I had the great pleasure of working the polls yesterday because I really wanted to make sure that at least in my area votes were processed correctly and things got done.

People were outside before we even got there at 5am. For most of the morning until about 11am the line was wrapped around the building.

At 5pm I announced that Obama would be president just because you could see that his supporters came out. McCain poll watchers didn't even show up at all. Another indication to me.

It was a experience that I will never forget.

I didn't make it to a party but I was overjoyed that we all came together to make Barack Obama President-Elect.

What was your experience?

What do we do next to support our new president?
