2011 Reflection

This has been a year of adventure. So many things that I have never experienced came up this year that has helped me grow and learn. Other events caused some tears but everyday cannot be full of sunshine. I am just thankful that I made it this far. As I close out this year I think back and look forward to the even better time I will have in 2012.

While doing some research on a new project for me I came across this nice reflection piece I thought I would share with you. Last but not least even though I didn't post much this year I appreciate you following my life. I know more is to come with the wedding, 30, and my career.

Merry Christmas

I know that this is the time of year that people are running around trying to buy out the stores but I hope you aren't. I am certainly not going insane with spending. I want to start the new year off with riches instead of massive debt.

If you are out and about just remember that this season is not about who can spend more than someone else.

Let's remember that this is the time that we give thanks for the many blessings that we have. If you have an opportunity to spend time with family and friends that alone should be filling. Gifts are just things.

Smells Like...

Certain scents and smells really do make a difference in our mood. I find myself attracted to fresh scents. I enjoy the glow in it. If you can say a scent glows?

Anyway one of my favorites is the White Tea line from Westin At Home. Not only is it fresh but it helps you relax. When you first walk into a Westin Hotel the smell takes over all your senses.

I am so glad to know folks that love me. Margaret Cook hooked me up recently with a fresh supply of goodies.

I'm an artist

Yes!!!!!

It is so awesome to try new things.

This past weekend me and some friends (thanks to Diva Deb) did A Date to Paint. It was interesting. We were able to bring snacks, wine and such to enjoy. Then we took a painting that was already completed and made our own artwork based on what we saw. At first it was like I can't do that but as we worked through it the experience was very relaxing.

Sleepless

Thoughts, ideas, task and so much more fill my mind especially at night. I thought I was doing the right thing but chilling out after a certain time so that sleep would come to me quickly. The problem is that lately sleep doesn't want to just visit me.

I love Sleepless in Seattle but our stories are much different. I feel like their are not enough hours in the day for all I want to do. I assume the best thing for me to do is try different things and see if it makes a difference.

Something has to change so I can get some sleep.

Hmmmmm.....

Now what?

Even though I have planned many things in my life planning my wedding seems to be one of the biggest challenges ever.

The thoughts that are flying through my mind are:

Big?

Small?

Budget?

Location?

Budget?

Beauty?

Budget?

What to wear?

Budget?

the list goes on.

I know the most important thing about the day is to be join union with the one of love but it is nice to have it all look good too. We will probably be doing some unique things to stand out and be different but I am super excited to have the vision that is starting to form in my mind come true.

Up next is to pick a firm date and start it up.
