Meditate

I notice that most of my surrounding friends and family are on rush mode. We are all running to get things done because we feel the end is near.

Are we able to enjoy every experience when we do this?
Do we feel happy?

Most of us in our days forget to take care of ourselves or the important task that we really do need to tend to.

For instance:
  • Eating 3 meals a day
  • Drinking water
  • Exercising
  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Paying Bills ontime
  • etc.
Maybe it is time to adapt meditation in the daily routine so that it becomes apart of you like breathing. It will help clear your mind so that you can really focus on your task, be good to yourself and cut down on stress.

It only takes a moment.

For those of you that do not know much about meditation here is a quick crash course
Sit in a comfortable position (in your office chair, the couch, car, etc
Take deep breathes (focus on counting in 1.2.3.4.5/out 1.2.3.4.5)
You may feel funny at first but if you really just focus on breathing you will soon be taken away to another place. That is meditation.

Try it!

The rush mode that most of society is in these days has been something that's been on my mind lately. Really, all of our running around is taking our focus away from what really matters....especially quality time with your kids if you are a parent like I am. "Simplify" is the word that comes to mind time and time again for me. Thanks for your post. It just re-affirms that we really need to slow our lives down for many reasons, including mental health and well being, as well as to make sure we prioritize things in our lives.
